Katie James

Katie graduated from the University of South Carolina, magna cum laude with honors and the University of Houston Law Center. Between 2016 and 2019 Katie taught Trial Advocacy at the University of Houston Law Center as an adjunct law professor. Today Katie continues to give back by coaching University of Houston law students in mock trial. Katie feels most at home in the courtroom where she fiercely advocates for her clients. Having handled hundreds of lawsuits on behalf of injured Texans, Katie has been selected as a Thomson Reuters Texas Rising Star since 2017. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in Texas are selected to receive this honor. In 2018, Katie was inducted into the prestigious Texas Bar College. Katie is also a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. Election to the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation is one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon a member of the State Bar of Texas, each year only the top 1/3 of 1% are invited to become Fellows. Katie proudly serves on the Advocates Committee Board of Directors for the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. Katie is a fierce believer and defender of the 7th Amendment- the right to a jury trial.
